AEGIS Introduces Affirmative Cyber War Coverage
With the rapidly evolving landscape of offensive cyber operations and geopolitical risk, we're expanding our cyber coverage to include affirmative cyber war and nation-state attack coverage. Affirmative Cyber War coverage will be available for an additional premium charge beginning on May 1, 2026, and is subject to an All-Member Aggregate Limit of $200M. AEGIS Cyber policyholders will now have clarity regarding their coverage, confirming that their cyber policy will respond regardless of the identity or intentions of the threat actor causing the loss. This coverage enhancement is unique in the marketplace and made possible with contributions from our Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Advisory Group, and through the support of our Membership. Please contact your underwriter for more information.

Claims Corner: 2026 Claims Roundtables and Claims Seminar
On March 12, AEGIS hosted its first Claims Roundtable of 2026, bringing together claims professionals for an engaging discussion on Effective Use of Expert Witnesses. The virtual event attracted 65 participants, including 49 Members from 28 companies, underscoring strong interest in this critical litigation topic.
The program focused on practical strategies for winning the "battle of the experts," exploring expert selection, scene investigation and management and preparation for deposition and trial testimony. Through real-world case examples, speakers demonstrated how expert witnesses can clarify complex evidence and significantly influence case outcomes.
The session was exceptionally well received, with 92% of post-event survey respondents rating the presentation as "Exceeds" or higher. AEGIS extends its appreciation to the featured speakers, James Ordeneaux (Plauche Maselli Parkerson), Brent Inabnit (Sopko Nussbaum Inabnit) and Steve Pugh (Richardson Plowden), for sharing their expertise with our Membership.
AEGIS remains committed to advancing continuing education for our Members. Our second Claims Roundtable of 2026, Managing and Defending Serious Gas, Electric, and Auto Incidents, will be held on Thursday, June 11, via webinar.

Quick Tips: Maintaining Drainage Systems in Turbine Buildings
A properly designed and maintained drainage system is critical in preventing a fire from an uncontained fuel spill – one of the worst disasters that can occur in a turbine building. As an integral part of the fire protection system, when a drain is needed to contain and remove a combustible fluid release, it's needed immediately. A drain that is partially or entirely blocked cannot perform this function effectively. In its latest Quick Tip, AEGIS Loss Control uses a real-life case study to illustrate the importance of routine inspection and maintenance and provides critical considerations to ensure drainage systems are fully operational before they're needed.
