AEGIS will offer a limited number of seats for the popular Loss Control Fire Protection Training Class, held Tuesday, October 20, through Thursday, October 22, at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, OK.

This joint AEGIS Loss Control/OSU three-day training class is geared toward employees responsible for inspection, testing or maintenance of fire protection systems or for those managing 3rd parties who perform this work. AEGIS member company employees will receive both classroom and hands-on instruction on the various types of fire protection systems associated with power generation and natural gas midstream operations. In addition to traditional classroom instruction and practical exercises, attendees are encouraged to participate in hands-on training sessions to become familiar with the fire protection and equipment typically used in the power generation and natural gas industries. Casual dress is recommended for the hands-on training sessions.

The following topics will be covered:

• Power generation and natural gas midstream operations fire hazards
• Fire pumps/water supplies overview and testing
• Fire alarm and detection systems
• Water-based extinguishing systems
• Alternative extinguishing systems (i.e., CO2, FM200, etc.)
  

We are offering a discounted registration fee of $600 for employees of AEGIS member companies who register by July 1, 2026. After this date, the fee will increase to $950. This fee includes the cost of the three-day training class, a copy of the 2023 NFPA 25 (Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems) code book, the AEGIS-sponsored group dinners, and a catered lunch each day. You will be asked to provide your credit card information during the registration process. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted.

If you must cancel your registration before the class, please do so no later than September 18. The class fee, minus an administrative fee of $25, will be refunded to your credit card.  

A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Stillwater at a special group rate of $99 plus tax per night. This rate includes complimentary wireless access, daily complimentary hot breakfast, and shuttle service between OSU and the hotel. Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations and must contact the hotel directly.
