1. Our Privacy Principles

We, Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited and its affiliates (collectively, “AEGIS”), know that for you to be confident about using our site, you can’t be worried about your privacy. That’s why we follow the principles described below to protect your privacy:

a. When You Access Our Web Site:

We collect personally identifiable information about you including, but not limited to, for example, name, address, telephone number, email address, educational background, job history, employment references and other specific information we need to evaluate your candidacy for employment and to communicate with you regarding same.

Information about you that has been collected is maintained in your employment application file. This information is used to evaluate your candidacy for employment with AEGIS. We may disclose this information to persons or organizations as necessary or desirable to perform transactions related to your potential employment. For example, we may disclose this information to third parties engaged to conduct a pre-employment background check and others who may become involved in processing your application. Should you become employed with AEGIS, your employment application and related materials will become part of your personnel file, and may be disclosed to human resources and other individuals who have a legitimate business-related need to access such information. We may also share this information with government officials/regulators, or as required in litigation or other method of dispute resolution.

Personal information will not be shared, except for legitimate business purposes, such as described above.

We may use your email address and certain other information to send you targeted email messages about your application and other news which we believe will be of interest to you.

We may disclose your information to third parties in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your information to the prospective buyer or seller of such assets, or if we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property or safety of AEGIS, our members, policyholders, website users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

3. Links Outside AEGISLink.com:

We may provide links to other Web sites that contain information that we believe you will find valuable. However, we have not investigated the privacy or security policies of those linked Web sites and cannot guarantee and you should not assume those sites have a privacy policy equivalent to ours. In the event that you follow a link that takes you off our Web site, a pop-up notification will open, identifying that you are linking to a third party site. AEGIS will not transfer any of your personally identifiable information to the third party site.
