Meet the Team

Lisa Groff

Before joining AEGIS as Vice President of Member Relations, Communications, and Marketing, Heidi spent nine years at NiSource in roles across Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance and Claims. She oversaw captive solutions, guided catastrophic claim response efforts and managed a dynamic enterprise risk register. Heidi also served for five years on the AEGIS Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC). Prior to NiSource, she was Senior Director of Claims Administration for the Americas Region at DHL Global Business Services.

Lisa Groff

As the former Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for American Electric Power Company, Lisa brings over 24 years of Insurance Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management and Credit and Contract Risk Management experience to Member Relations. Lisa served on the AEGIS Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC) for seven years.

Johan Bramer

Joe’s career has spanned nearly 40 years in Risk Management, and most recently as Director of Insurance Risk for TC Energy before retiring. Joe is also a frequent speaker at insurance industry events on claims and risk management topics in the energy industry and was an AEGIS Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC) member for 17 years.

Thomas McDonnell

Tom brings more than 35 years of risk management experience to the Member Relations team. Before joining AEGIS, he led the Insurance and Operational Risk functions at FirstEnergy Corp. in Akron, Ohio and served on the AEGIS Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC) for six years.

Wayne Sosa

Prior to joining the AEGIS Member Relations Team, Wayne was the Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at El Paso Electric Company (EPE). Wayne was at EPE for over 15 years and was responsible for Insurance Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Physical Security, Safety and Corporate Compliance. During his career at EPE, he served on several industry advisory committees, including the AEGIS Risk Management Advisory Committee (RMAC).
