To support this effort, AEGIS Loss Control is hosting a timely webinar highlighting the latest developments in wildfire mitigation from one of the nation’s largest utilities. This session provides an inside look at PG&E’s 2026 Wildfire Strategy and the evolving tools, technologies, and approaches that are shaping the future of wildfire risk reduction.

As climate change continues to drive increased wildfire risk for communities across the globe, this one-hour webinar highlights PG&E’s 2026 wildfire strategy.  This session will explore PG&E’s existing layers of protection as well as new wildfire mitigation efforts, including  prevention, ignition containment, and community resilience initiatives.

About the presenter

This program will be presented by Andy Abranches, PG&E’s Vice President of Wildfire Mitigation. Andy has led PG&E’s Wildfire Strategy since 2020 and brings extensive expertise in developing comprehensive, data-driven mitigation programs. He also serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for Cal Poly’s Wildland Urban Interface – FIRE Institute (https://fire.calpoly.edu/).
