About the Presenters
Mark Boone has led Property Loss Control at AEGIS since 2020, overseeing a national team of property loss control professionals who support Underwriting and Members. A registered Fire Protection Engineer, Mark began his career in 1986. His background includes fire protection, machinery, and risk engineering across power generation, natural gas, LNG and related energy sectors. Prior to joining AEGIS, Mark led the Corporate Risk Engineering team at Dominion Energy. Before that, he spent 17 years in fire protection and safe shutdown engineering at nuclear power stations. Mark holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and currently chairs NFPA 850 and 853, serves NFPA 72 and 715, and contributes to UL standards for energy storage. His previous roles include leadership positions with EEI, NEIL, AEGIS and the Virginia Down Syndrome Association.
