Wind & Solar Loss Control Considerations

Wednesday, May 01, 2024 | 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EDT Online

AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Wind and Solar Loss Control Considerations on May 1, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EDT.

As the number of renewable energy projects skyrockets, vigilant planning is needed to guard against risks posed by increasingly frequent and intense natural catastrophes such as storms and wildfires. We invite you to join us for an in-depth look at design, inspection, and maintenance practices to help mitigate risks to solar photovoltaic and wind turbine generation sites.

Who Should Attend

Individuals responsible for the initial design and scope of work during project development, operations and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind generations sites, vegetation management, risk management and field supervision would benefit from attending this webinar. We also welcome anyone interested in understanding more about challenges and mitigations in maintenance and operations.

What is Covered

This webinar focuses on the importance of initial design and specifications for PV Solar projects to reduce the impact of wind, hail, and wildfire events, as well as maintenance and inspection of activities shown to mitigate or eliminate loss potential.

Presenters will also look at loss drivers and industry challenges facing wind turbine generation projects. Discussions will focus on pinpointing and assessing problem areas and components, as well as implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Participants will hear lessons learned from field observations that underscore the importance of proper planning and loss mitigation strategies during all phases of solar PV and wind generation projects.
