Training the Modern Workforce

Wednesday, Sep 13, 2023 | 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EDT Online

AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Training the Modern Workforce, on September 13 at 2:00 pm EDT.

We invite you to explore the use of emerging immersive technologies, including virtual reality, to improve the quality and effectiveness of training for front-line natural gas workers. Join us for our upcoming AEGIS Loss Control Webinar on Training the Modern Workforce to discover interactive ways to make your training programs more engaging and impactful.

Who Should Attend

Individuals responsible for training, qualifications, safety, gas operations and field supervision would benefit from attending this webinar. We also welcome anyone interested in understanding how emerging technologies, including virtual reality (VR) and other digital and immersive training content, can help natural gas utilities improve the quality and effectiveness of training programs for frontline workers.

What is Covered

The presentation will look at the challenges and opportunities in developing training for the modern workforce. The presenter will discuss the benefits of using emerging technologies to create interactive and engaging training, and share successes and lessons learned from the use of VR and the development of micro-learning modules. Participants will also get an overview of the updated AEGIS Gas Operator Training Program and the customized natural gas operations training opportunities available to our members.

About the Presenter

Ray Deatherage is the Director, Education and Training at GTI Energy. He has over 30 years of experience in the natural gas distribution industry. This includes many years developing, delivering and maintaining training and qualification programs for a utility workforce of 1,200 plus employees. He has over six years’ experience evaluating, developing and deploying VR training technology in the energy industry. He is currently working on the development of an entire library of digital and immersive training content for the natural gas industry.
