AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Understanding the Iterative Nature of Data Development for Public Safety Strategies, on Wednesday, October 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In today’s complex energy environment, utilities face increasing pressure to enhance operations and reduce risk. Data-driven strategies are no longer optional—they are essential. This webinar explores how iterative data development can transform public safety outcomes across the utility sector.
Who Should Attend
Individuals responsible for risk management, public safety, and operational strategy within the electric and natural gas industries should attend this webinar. Those tasked with implementing risk reduction initiatives or shaping data-informed safety programs will also benefit from attending this webinar.
What is Covered
Public safety risks from utility systems are dynamic and often complex. Despite decades of incident data, the utility industry may not be fully leveraging these insights to reduce risk and save lives. This webinar will address the limitations of relying solely on single-source data to assess the severity and extent of public safety risks. Attendees will learn how employing iterative data capture techniques that integrate large language models, subjective hypotheses, and external data sources, enables a clearer understanding of how to reduce public safety risks. The presenter will review the ways in which his enhanced perspective guides the development of probability models, identification of key leading indicators, and the formulation of targeted mitigation strategies needed to reduce public safety risks and improve operational effectiveness and enhanced system reliability.
About the Presenter
Nicole Kraus, MUPD and Sr. Enterprise Risk Advisor at Southern California Edison, has been working in the public safety space for the past four years, leveraging over a decade of previous electrical distribution operations experience. Coupled with her education in urban planning, Nicole is striving to understand and solve the interface between static utility infrastructure and the surrounding dynamic environment as it evolves and changes the conditions in which the public may interact with utility systems. Through field analysis, iterative data capture and analytics, her team is looking for key leading indicators that can drive proactive change in utility plant-based operations.
