Virtual Training Programs Offered by AEGIS Loss Control

Wednesday, Mar 03, 2021 | 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Online

AEGIS member companies have changed many of the ways they maintain safe and reliable operations during the global pandemic.  The measures utilities have implemented include separate reporting protocols, shift work, giving daily assignments remotely, and using personal automobiles to maintain social distancing when reporting to job sites.

AEGIS Loss Control has changed many of its practices as well.  At the beginning of the pandemic, in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, we suspended our traditional in-person training,  workshops and safety meetings.  However, after working closely with member companies to assess the alternatives, we have successfully transitioned our Incident Investigation Workshops and Natural Gas Operator Training sessions to virtual platforms.  This webinar will cover the following topics related to these two new remote training opportunities:

  • Delivery method – virtual platforms
  • Natural Gas Operator Training
    • Customized training
    • New employees
    • Utility first responder
    • Leak investigation
    • Customer premises work
    • Safety meetings
  • Incident Investigation Workshops
    • Natural gas
    • Electric
  • Call Center Training
  • Scheduling and fees

The presenter is David Zak, our Senior Natural Gas Operations Trainer.  In his four and half years at AEGIS, David has conducted training sessions and workshops for more than 7,500 utility workers across the country.  Prior to joining AEGIS, he spent 21 years with Ameren Utilities in Missouri and Illinois.  David has a background in field operations, training and operator qualification.  He is an active member of industry organizations such as the American Gas Association, Midwest Energy Association, Western Regional Gas Association and the Northeast Gas Association.  David received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
