Electric System Inspections: Improving Data Collection and Results with Technology and Innovation

Wednesday, Nov 06, 2019 | 2:00pm to 3:00pm Online

Utilities are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all components of their electric systems from the time of installation to removal.  Regular inspections help ensure proper maintenance and identify substandard conditions or deficiencies before they become serious hazards.

This webinar will discuss the use of technology, innovation and best practices to improve asset management and inspection practices.

This webinar will be presented by Dr. Nand Singh, President and CEO of MinMax Technologies.  Dr. Singh has more than 30 years of experience in executive management and custom software solutions for the utility sector.  Prior to founding MinMax Technologies in 2007, Dr. Singh was the director of Technology Transfer for Power Computing Company where he directed commercialization, distribution and support of electric utility software products.  A champion of best practices based on ISO 9001 and CMM methodologies, Dr. Singh was the principal investigator and designer for the first Substation Inspection and Maintenance Software initiated by EPRI.  Dr. Singh is also an adjunct faculty member at the Southern Methodist University where he teaches Strategy Engineering, Decision Support Systems and Program & Project Management.  An alumnus of IIT-Bombay, Dr. Singh received his MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and his MS, MBA, and Doctorate of Engineering from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
