Please join us for the third topic in our 2007 Claims Roundtable series – Preventing and Defending Asbestos Litigation – which will be held again on October 11 in Los Angeles.
Our panel of claims professionals and counsel will address the current status of asbestos litigation and what lies ahead, including the number and types of asbestos claims currently pending, the varied judicial approaches to handling these claims, and the effects of the many bankruptcies of asbestos-related companies. The panelists will also address legislative proposals that have been enacted or are being considered to control these claims. Speakers include Tulane University Law School Professor Edward Sherman, chair and reporter for the ABA Task Force on Asbestos (2003 to 2005) and a leading authority on asbestos litigation reform. Attendees also will learn the best approaches to managing asbestos claims.
As always, you're welcome to attend AEGIS Claims Roundtables in person or by videoconference, and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are offered.
