As most of you know, we hold a series of one-day meetings throughout the year to provide you with an opportunity to tell us about the issues on your mind, what you need from AEGIS, and how we’re doing. In each city, a small group of members and brokers meets with AEGIS senior management to discuss these topics as well as any new initiatives at AEGIS. Most attendees also find that these small meetings are conducive to comparing notes on risk management issues with other risk managers and brokers.
These regional meetings have been very well received over the past several years and we’re planning four more meetings for 2006:
Chicago - Tuesday, May 2
Atlanta - Tuesday, May 23
Calgary - Wednesday, October 25
Los Angeles - Tuesday, November 14
Since each meeting is a one-day event, most of you will be able to drive or fly between home and the meeting on the same day. However, if you’d like to stay overnight, AEGIS will reimburse one person from each member company for one night’s stay in the meeting hotel.
We’re finalizing the meeting details now and we’ll provide specific information for the meeting in your area when we get closer to the actual dates. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Carrie White by e-mail or phone at 201.521.4524.
The new AEGIS Loss Control Workshop, "Investigating Electrical Incidents," being held next week in Edison, NJ, has sold out. We plan to offer this workshop again in late June in Florida and will provide details as soon as they’re available. If you’re interested in attending this workshop, please contact Lucille Jackowski by e-mail or phone at 201.521.4644.
The Claims Roundtable seminar scheduled for May 4 in Jersey City has been cancelled, however, the same seminar, "Odorization Issues," will be offered on May 18 in Chicago. Hotel and registration information will be posted on our website shortly.
The Risk and Insurance Management Society Annual Conference will be held in Honolulu from April 23 to 27. While we’ve noticed that more of our members attend RIMS each year, we’ve also heard that some do not plan to make the relatively long trip to Hawaii this year. As a result, we don’t plan to have an AEGIS space in the exhibit hall and a smaller number of our staff will attend. We will, however, maintain a small meeting and hospitality suite at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel where members and brokers can meet with AEGIS staff during the conference. Please let us know if you're planning to attend RIMS this year by contacting Gil Gould via email and we'll contact you with all the details.
Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us at The 2006 AEGIS Claims Seminar, which will be held October 16 to October 18, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV.
We’ll cover gas and electric case studies, as well as other issues that are germane to claims professionals and litigators for the utility industry. The seminar will be eligible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. Registration materials and additional agenda details will be available when we get closer to the date.

Our plans to relocate our Jersey City office to nearby East Rutherford, NJ are proceeding according to plan. If construction remains on schedule, we hope to be in our new location, the Metropolitan Center near Giants Stadium, by early June. Until we finalize an exact move date, however, please continue to direct all correspondence to our current address in Jersey City. Our main phone number, 201.521.1200, will remain unchanged. We will provide more information regarding the move schedule, address, and individual phone/fax numbers soon. We look forward to your visits later this year.
