Chris Armstrong joins AEGIS as VP - Member Relations

We’re pleased to announce that Chris Armstrong, Vice President of Risk Management at Williams, will join AEGIS on May 3rd as Vice President of Member Relations. In his new role, Chris will spend much of his time traveling – meeting in-person with members and brokers, discussing your needs and issues, and collecting your input on the type of products and services we offer. Please join me in welcoming Chris to AEGIS.

AEGIS Policyholders' Conference - San Diego

Registration materials will be distributed within the next few weeks for the 2004 AEGIS Policyholders’ Conference , which is scheduled for Tuesday, July 27 through Thursday, July 29 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. A number of members, brokers and AEGIS staff will be traveling to San Diego on the weekend prior to the conference. Based on the interest many members expressed last year in having more meeting time with the AEGIS staff, we’re pleased to announce that there will be additional time and meeting space to do so on Monday, July 26. Meeting times will also be available on Tuesday, as has been our custom in the past.

Conference registration is complimentary and attendees are invited to bring guests. As with past conferences, AEGIS will reimburse one representative from each member company for the cost of three nights lodging at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Brokers must be attached to a current AEGIS member policy in order to attend.

Claims Roundtables - Managing Litigation and Trial Tactics

This year’s third roundtable topic, “Managing Litigation and Trial Tactics,” will be presented in Jersey City on May 6 and in Boston on June

3. Our panel of in-house attorneys and outside counsel will discuss ways to minimize the risk of big-hit verdicts, reduce internal and external costs, maximize the chances for a successful outcome, and build effective working relationships with AEGIS excess insurance counsel.

As always, you're welcome to attend in person or by videoconference, and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are offered. For more information or to register online, please refer to the 2004 Roundtable brochure.
