To assist the membership in completing their excess liability programs, we’re pleased to announce new capacity to be written through AEGIS Energy Syndicate 1225. Available only to AEGIS members, the maximum limit available is $25 million each occurrence and in the annual aggregate of coverages combined. The minimum attachment point is excess of AEGIS and EIM, or $85 million, whichever is less.
The policy follows the terms and conditions of the underlying AEGIS excess liability policy with only three differences necessitated by reinsurance limitations:
- Absolute exclusion for asbestos
- Annual aggregate policy limit equal to per-occurrence policy limit
- Non-sudden pollution subject to $100 million aggregate limit applicable collectively to all following form AEGIS excess policies issued between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004
Like the underlying AEGIS policy, coverage is written on a claims-first-made basis. Terrorism coverage for both certified and non-certified events is available and is subject to an additional premium charge.
