Quick Start - Public Safety Communication Guides

The AEGIS Gas and Electric Public Safety Communications Guides are designed to assist gas and electric utilities in developing comprehensive public safety education programs addressing the needs of the general public and other high-risk groups such as firefighters and contractors.

The guides are intended to help organize current utility public safety education programs and suggest additional topics that may not be addressed in current public safety programs. Each topic in the guides includes background information, suggested target audiences, message and program timing, and media that may be used effectively to distribute messages.
