Excess Workers' Compensation
  • The excess workers’ compensation policy is specifically written to cover the perils of qualified self-insurers.
  • We provide indemnity for statutory workers’ compensation benefits up to the policy limit.
  • The maximum policy limit available is $35 million bodily injury each accident or each employee for disease in excess of a self-insured retention.
  • AEGIS can coordinate $65 million excess of our $35 million limit through our alliance with Liberty Mutual. Under acceptable circumstances, statutory limits excess of our $35 million can be provided.
  • The minimum self-insured retention is $200,000 bodily injury each accident or each employee for disease.
  • Coverage is written on an occurrence basis.
  • AEGIS will indemnify the insured for ultimate net loss up to the limit stated in the policy declarations.
  • AEGIS can also coordinate primary workers’ compensation, where required, through its alliance with Liberty Mutual.
