The faculty, which includes experienced industry personnel and outside litigation counsel, will discuss the impact and use of state legislation in the defense of serious liability lawsuits. The program will address the related problems of overhead power line incidents in the electric utility industry, and underground utility damage incidents affecting both the gas and electric utility industries. State legislation, including the Overhead Power Line Safety Acts and One-Call Statutes, will be reviewed. Specific case examples will be discussed.
