Ian Seakens
Class Underwriter
Ian began his insurance career in 1986 as a broker and specialised in placing Specie risks for JH Minet and later Jardine. He joined Reliance National in 1995 as an underwriter to start up a Special Risks portfolio which included Specie risks. He went on to head up this unit together with all European Property lines as Property Manager. After a short spell with Munich Re, Ian joined Broadgate Syndicate in 2004 and became Property Special Risks Manager, again heading up the specialty lines department including Specie, Bloodstock and Household accounts. Ian joined AEGIS London in 2010 to head up the newly formed Specie team.
Ian Morton
Underwriter
Ian began his career in 1990 in the claims department at Willis. He joined Reliance National in 1995 as a Claims Adjuster where he specialised in UK and International Property claims as well as dealing with Special Risks claims. He moved to the underwriting side of the Special Risks area in 1998 as Assistant Underwriter. After a short spell with Munich Re, Ian joined Broadgate Syndicate in 2004 as an underwriter in the Property Special Risks area writing Jewellers Block, Fine Art and Specie business. Ian joined the newly formed AEGIS London Specie team in 2010.
Charlotte McIntyre
Underwriting Assistant
Charlotte joined AEGIS London in 2010 as a Syndicate Support Assistant and moved over to the Specie team as Underwriting Assistant in 2011. She began her insurance career in 2005 at Atrium Syndicate 570, where she worked as an Underwriting Assistant on the Non-Marine Property account. Charlotte is currently studying with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
