Dave Allen
Senior Cargo Underwriter
David is a respected leader in the London Cargo market. He has over 35 years of
underwriting experience working in both underwriting and claims roles in
the UK Transit and Transit Liability markets. In 1987, he was appointed Deputy
Cargo Underwriter for New Zealand Insurance Co., underwriting London market
cargo business in the Institute of London Underwriters (ILU) Centre. In 1997,
he was appointed Cargo Underwriter for General Accident PLC in London. He
moved to Lloyd’s in 1998 to join a newly formed syndicate. In 2005, David
joined AEGIS London and has since built a global cargo account with emphasis
on business emanating from North America, Middle East and Europe.
Frank Chu
Underwriter
Frank started his career at Lloyd’s in 1998, where he worked in non-marine prior to moving to cargo. In 2008, Frank joined AEGIS London. He is fluent in French and Spanish and is a Chartered Insurer having passed his Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) exam in 2002.
Sophie Hart
Underwriting Assistant
Sophie started her career in the banking sector before moving to the insurance industry. In August 2009, she joined AEGIS London as Underwriting Assistant for the Cargo Team.
