Richard Palengat

Richard began his career in the Lloyd's market in 1986 with Janson Green. There, in addition to acquiring experience of all areas of the Syndicate's Marine and Energy accounts, he qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). He was also a Divisional Director.
Richard joined AEGIS London in December 2000 and is now Head of the Energy E&P team. He is an active member of the Joint Rig Committee.
Chris Benton

Chris joined the Lloyd's broking house of Sedgwick Forbes in 1975. Having spent seven years negotiating and collecting Marine and Energy claims, he moved to the business production area as an Energy Placing Broker. He became a Broking Director of Sedgwick Marine and Energy in 1997 and Senior Vice President of Marsh Marine and Energy in 2000. In 2005, he became a Partner and Senior Broker with Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
Chris joined AEGIS London in 2008 as an Offshore Energy Underwriter and he is qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).
Varian Bush

Varian began his insurance career in 2002 with HSBC Insurance Brokers as a placing broker, working with a wide range of energy clients. In 2009 Varian moved to Aon, again in a placing broker role, but predominately working on the North Sea account. During this time he was promoted to Deputy Head of the broking team. Varian joined AEGIS London in 2013 as an Offshore Energy Underwriter. He has a degree in Mining Engineering and a Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip CII).
Huyen Pham

Huyen joined AEGIS London in 2009 as a Graduate Trainee and is now an Assistant
Underwriter on the Energy Exploration and Production team. Prior to joining AEGIS
London, Huyen graduated with a degree and masters in Law. She has obtained her
Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma and is now studying to be an Associate Member (ACII).
Nicola Pettitt

After working for a Lloyd's Coverholder for more than two years, Nicola joined AEGIS London in 2010 to work in the Compliance Department, where she assisted with Delegated Authorities and Audits. In 2012, Nicola joined the Energy Exploration & Production team as an Underwriting Assistant and is studying for her Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma.
